Pump Ops Topic of September Training |
On the evening of Wednesday, September 12, firefighters from Sipesville,
Acosta, and Jennerstown gathered for monthly training at Walker's pond
along Emert Rd. in Lincoln Township. The training was hosted by Acosta
and crews practiced pump ops and rural water movement on a small scale.
Two tankers and three engines were used to setup drafting and dump sites to see
how long a continuous supply of water could be maintained to the lead engine,
which was flowing two hand lines continuously. Crews trained for approximately
2 hours before running out of daylight. |
