Pierce Invades Station 607
During the week of October 14 Rescue/Engine 607-4 was placed out of service as it was sent to F.A.S.T. for modifications and improvements to the hosebed area.  In order to maintain protective services to our first due area, a loaner engine was obtained through the graciousness of Station 601.  Engine 601-4 (recently replaced by Rescue 601-4) took up temporary residence in the dog pound for approximately a week.  Having an apparatus without a bulldog on the hood was definitely a change for the Sipesville faithful, but crews were thankful to have another piece of apparatus to use in the event of an emergency.  During the week station 607 had a few calls; however, each resulted in a quick cancellation so the engine never made it out of the station.  The Sipesville volunteers would once again like to thank the Somerset VFD for their willingness to share their engine in our time of need.
