Bulldogs Bring Home Hardware From Local Parades
The members of the Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company have been making their rounds to many local parades in the area.  On Wednesday evening July 18, Tanker 607 piloted by Chief Scott Kovach and daughter Colby, appeared in the annual Ferndale Firemen's Jubilee in Cambria County.  The tanker was one of two Mack tankers featured in the parade and was awarded Best Appearing Tanker.  On Friday July 20, members appeared in the Somerfest Parade in Somerset Borough.  Units appearing from station 607 included Tanker 2, Engine 4, and Squad 5.  On Saturday July 21, crews attended the annual parade in Boswell Borough.  In this parade Engine 607-4 was awarded Best Equipped Apparatus 1000-1500 GPM and Tanker 607-2 was awarded Best Equipped Tanker.  It is also noteworthy that the Sipesville VFC was the only station to received two awards.  The members of the Sipesville VFC take pride in their apparatus and are honored to receive this type of recognition from the judges of the numerous parades.  The members of the company would also like to thank all of the organizations and event coordinators for setting up the parades in and around our area.
