Seven members of the Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company recently
particpated in the Somerset County fire school weekend. Two classes
were offered at the Somerset County Fire School site in an attempt to gain more
support for training programs the site. Five members were enrolled in
a bus rescue class, while the other two members took part in a structral burn
session. Saturday's classes were mostly didactic, but led up to the practical
evolutions carried out on Sunday. Members took Rescue/Engine 607-4 to
Sigmund's Auto in Stoystown for use in the bus rescue class on Sunday.
Both classes were 16 hours in length. |
