607 Receives Donation
Lincoln Township resident Merlin L. Gnegy (front right) made a generous donation to the members of the Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company during the May monthly meeting.  The donation, in the amount of $5000, was in memory of his wife Dolores.  After 37 years of marriage, Dolores passed away on February 12, 2007.  Mr. Gnegy chose the Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company to be the beneficiary of his donation by stating that, "The fire company has come a long way since its beginning in such a small and humble town, and has provided invaluable support to the residents, including himself."  Receiving the check is Sipesville Deputy Chief and Treasurer Jim Shoryer, surrounded by other members of the company.  The donation will likely be used for apparatus upgrades or completion of the new fire hall building project.  The Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company would like to extend its most sincere thanks to Mr. Gnegy and his family for the incredibly generous offering.
