Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company - Fire Prevention Week 2005

The Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company opened Fire Prevention Week 2006 by accepting and invitation to attend the morning worship service at the Sipesville Church of the Brethren on Sunday, October 8. Approximately ten members of the fire company participated in the church service led by pastor Chuck Statler. During the service the firefighters were recognized for their selfless efforts and thanked the group for their contributions to the community. Pastor Statler's morning message entitled "In Case of Emergency" was appropriately themed for fire prevention week and continued the idea of helping others. After the service, firefighters toured the church building and constructed a brief preplan in the event that a fire or emergency would occur. For the past few years, the Sipesville volunteers have been putting aside denominational differences to attend the annual Fire Prevention Week service at the Church of the Brethren. The company would like to thank the church for their hospitality and invitation to the special service.
