At 21:10 hrs on Tuesday, December 26, Station 624 and 900 EMS were dispatched for a single vehicle accident with entrapment near 296 West Bakersville-Edie Rd.  624 Chief had Station 607 added via special alarm on the pin job.  624 Chief arrived on scene and confirmed that there was one unreponsive patient trapped in the vehicle. Rescue/Engine 607-4 (Carr) responded with a full crew.  Once on scene the Engine crew went to work stabilizing the car and cutting the roof posts.  Firefighters from 624 and 607 had the patient extricated within 10 minutes.  The MedSTAR ground team was dispatched to assist EMS en route to the trauma center.  All units cleared within 45 minutes.  *Note the marks on the tree trunk where the car made impact.
