Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company

At 14:45 hours on Thursday, December 14, Station 607 and 900 EMS were dispatched for a vehicle accident with injuries on Penn Ave. 607 Chief was in the area and responded direct to establish command. Updated dispatch information advised that one vehicle was involved in a rollover type collision with reports of one person trapped. Rescue/Engine 607-4 (Forry) responded from station with three persons on board. 607 Chief arrived on scene and advised that there was no entrapment and that the elderly driver was self extricated from the vehicle. One lane of traffic was blocked, so traffic control was handled by 607 firefighters. Medic 950 and Medic 902 arrived on scene and handled the patient refusal. Engine 4 arrived on scene and crews secured the vehicle and removed debris from the roadway. Before clearing the scene, Station 607 was activated to assist station 900 with an AED response for an unconscious person on Flannery Rd. Squad 607-5 responded and assisted Medic 957 on scene. All units were back in service by 16:00 hrs.
