Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company

On September 4 at approximately 2355 we were dispatched to assist Station 608 (Acosta) with a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Somerset Pike, just south of Lamonica's. We arrived on scene to find a head on colision between a compact car and a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The male driver of the motorcycle was DOA and the female passenger was critically injured. The teenage male driver of the car sustained minor injuries. The driver of the car was intoxicated and had crossed the center line into the oncoming path of the motorcycle. Ambulances from Jennerstown Vol. Fire Co. and Somerset Area Ambulance assisted on scene. The female motorcylce rider was flown from the scene via Conemaugh Medstar I. The Pennsylvainia State Police and the Somerset County Coroner handled investigation of the accident.
