August 27, 2006
On August 27, at 08:47 hours, Stations 607 and 900 EMS were dispatched for a vehiclce accident with injuries on Somerset Pike in front of the Casebeer Church.  607 Chief respoded direct and established command, advising both vehicles were off of the roadway.  A quick scene survey revealed a small amount of fluids leaking from one of the involved vehicles.  Both of the patients were self extricated and one patient sustained minor injuries from the airbag deployment.  Medic 957 and Medic 952 arrived on scene and handled patient refusals. Engine 607-4 (Carr) responded and controlled hazards at the scene.  The Pennsylvania State Police assisted at the scene and allowed all other units to clear.  All 607 units were back in service in under 30 minutes.  This call was the fourth alarm of the weekend for the Sipesville volunteers.
