On June 13, we were dispatched for a vehicle fire on Popernack
Lane, off of Penn Ave. Units responded and discovered that the vehicle was
actually located on Chritchfield Road. Engine 4 was the first to arrive
on scene and its crew setup command and deployed the front bumper Class A foam
preconnected hoseline. Firefighters were able to open the hood and extinguish
the fire before it reached the interior of the car. Tanker 3 and Squad
5 also responded to the incident. The car was a late model Lincoln Towncar
that the owner had purchased just a few days prior. |
