May 28, 2007
On the evening of May 28, Station 607 was dispatched for a structure fire in an abandoned trailer beside 122 Briar Patch Rd. in Lincoln Township.  The first alarm assignment included stations 601, 603, 606, 608, 624, and 900.  607 Deputy responded direct, establishing command and advised that the structure was fully engulfed.  Engine 607-4, Tanker 607-2, and Tanker 607-3 responded fully staffed within minutes.  Due to the location of the trailer and lack of access, crews could only reach the structure by driving through an adjacent field.  Upon arrival the engine crew advanced a line to extinguish the blaze.  By this point the trailer was down to the ground, but was still retaining a lot of smoldering fire and heat under the pile of debris.  Tanker 608-2 fed Engine 4, and firefighters from 606 assisted with manpower on scene.  Engine 608-1 handled the fill site assignment.  One engine from Station 601 was diverted to standby in Station 607, and stations 603 and 624 were cancelled.  Crews cleared the scene in about an hour.  The trailer was a total loss and the state fire marshal is investigating the cause.
