On April 29 at 18:25 hours, Station 607 was activated for the
third time in 24 hours. This time the activation was for a brush fire on Quecreek
Rd, just outside of Acosta. Volunteers were already at the station preparing
for the $20 dinner at the time of the call and were quick to respond.
607 Deputy responded direct, followed by Tanker 607-3 (Trent) and Engine
607-1 (Shaulis). Squad 5 responded but was cancelled en route.
Crews from Sipesville and Acosta found some large stumps and brush on fire and
quickly made knockdown with the booster line from Engine 607-1. All crews
returned in service within 30 minutes. |
