April 23, 2006
On Sunday, April 23, at 15:32 hrs, Station 607 was dispatched for a motorcycle accident with injury on Penn Ave. in the area of Conn Rd.  607 Deputy responded direct and established command on scene.  Engine 607-4 (Trent) responded to the scene where crew members assisted in packaging the patient and clearing fluid and debris from the roadway.  The accident occurred when a stray dog ran out on the road into the path of the motorcycle, causing a collision that ejected the driver.  The driver was wearing a helmet and protective clothing, which kept him from sustaining more serious injuries.  Somerset Area Ambulance and PSP assisted at the scene.  All units cleared within 30 minutes.
