Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company

On April 16 at approximately 1545 hrs we were dispatched to a vehicle accident with unkown injuries. A chief officer responded direct and reported that there were four patients on scene, one of which was still in the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle had lost control on the dirt road, striking a large tree broadside. As you can see in the pictures, the car was literally wrapped around the tree before landing in the field. When we arrived on scene one firefighter maintained c-spine immobilization for the patient still located in the rear seat, while others stabilized the vehicle and assisted EMS in extricaiting the patient. All four patients were transported to various hospitals with moderate to severe injuries. Also assisting at the scene were an ambulance and medic unit from Somerset Ambulance, and another ambulance from Jennerstown. The Pennsylvania State Police handled the investigation.
