At 19:30 hrs on February 12, stations 601, 602, 607, and 623 were
called out for a working structure fire on South Edgewood Ave. in Somerset
Borough. Engine 607-4 responded fully crewed and staged with other fire units on
scene. 607 firefighters assisted on scene for approximately two hours.
The fire began in the flue of the appartment and was confined mostly to the
exterior of the building. Despite inclement weather, crews worked well
together and made a quick knock on the fire before it got out of hand. This
was the second call of the day for Station 607; the first being an AED assist
to Station 900 with an unconscious person in the township. |
