At 13:10 hrs Somerset County stations 610, 619, 621, 631, 607, and 640 were dispatched for a structure fire at 119 Shaffer Rd (Conemaugh Township).  Cambria County stations 12, 20, and 24 were also dispatched on the initial alarm.  Patrol arrived on scene and advised of a working fire in the basement of the residence.  Engine 607-4 responded fully crewed to fill the RIT assignment.  Engine 4 was the third Somerset County engine on scene and crews setup RIT operations on the Alpha/Delta corner of the structure.  The first alarm was not fulfilled as there was no response from stations 610 and 20 and the engine requested from 621 did not respond.  Ferndale Chief Cornell had incident command and requested additional engines from 606 and 28.  Crews had a quick knock on the fire in the basement, but had problems finding extension in the walls of division 1.  Fire crews were on scene for approximately 3 hours before being released.  This was the second 610 RIT alarm for the Sipesville Volunteers in just over a month.
