Sipesville Volunteer Fire Company

On January 25th we were called at 0515 for a flooded basement. After assisting a Sipesville resident with a sump pump to help to pump several inches of water out of his basement we checked some common flood areas in the township. Finding Quecreek Road just outside of Quecreek flooded we requested county control advise Penn Dot of the flooded roadway. Within the next 1 1/2 hours we were called for two more calls. The first was a stranded motorist in high water on Quecreek Road. Two fire fighters made their way to the motorist and after giving her a life vest, she was lead to safety. The second call was another flooded basement. This one was in Quecreek with about 4 inches of water and rising. Floor drains where water was entering the basement were plugged to get the water stopped from entering the basement.
