On January 13, 2004 we were dispatched to assist Acosta VFD on
a vehicle accident with entrapment on Somerset Pike just north of Gontis' Auto
Repair. When we arrived on scene we found one patient (the operator of the
red vehicle) on the ground deceased and the operator of the blue vehicle still
inside her car. Rescue crews removed the driver side front door using
the hydraulic rescue tool to enlarge the opening to permit a more rapid extrication.
That operator was taken to Conemaugh Hospital with serious injuries. |
